Light designed with care
A lighting concept balancing medical precision and human warmth for an orthodontic practice
For this orthodontic practice, we developed a lighting concept where comfort, functionality, and a clear architectural look come together. In a medical environment, lighting must primarily provide optimal support, but it’s just as important how patients—often children and teenagers—experience the space.
Bright where needed, soft where possible
In the treatment room, a combination of general and focused lighting ensures a bright and comfortable working environment, tailored for precision work. In the reception and waiting area, we took a completely different approach: the light was consciously integrated into the architecture in a softer way.
Linear lighting, subtle accents, and indirect light enhance the sleek design and contribute to a calm atmosphere, right at the moment when patients might feel most anxious.
“Even in a practice environment, light should feel human.”

Lighting as part of the interior
Here too, lighting was not approached as a separate technical element, but as part of the interior itself. The fixtures follow the lines of the architecture and allow materials, colors, and details to shine.
This creates a practice environment that feels professional and precise, without losing its human character.
